This Flight Operations Manual (FOM), along with the Member Policy Manual

(MPM), contains the essential information for Soaring Society of Boulder (SSB)

glider pilots. The FOM describes how flight operations are conducted at Boulder

Municipal Airport — the airport environment and the procedures for launching,

towing, soaring, and landing SSB aircraft safely. Nothing in this manual relieves a

pilot of the responsibility to comply with the Federal Aviation Regulations, to

practice good airmanship, or to use common sense. Do not let the policies

contained within the Flight Operation Manual prevent you from making any

decisions that prioritize safety.
