2001 Field Manager List and Dates

The boulder airport is a very busy place and the trend is for increasing activity especially on weekends. We all want the club to function in a safe and efficient way so the field manager concept is back for 2000. See field manager guidelines.

With the split shifts from 10:00 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 2:00 the duty is not to arduous and the benefits are great. Check you calendar and sign up for your chosen time slot until April 1. After April 1 all remaining slots will be filled from the SSB membership list. If you cannot make your date it is up to you to find a replacement. Sign-up by e-mailing planned@boulder.net

Field Manager Guidelines - The field manager is responsible for insuring safe and efficient SSB operations. This includes monitoring the SSB signup list, assisting with positive control checks, monitoring gliders pulling out on the runway, assisting in hooking up gliders and helping with moving gliders from the runway after landing. Maintaining a good working relationship with Mile High Gliding and the Airport are important aspects of the Field Managers job.

As field manager please be familiar with the SSB operating procedures and have read the SSB/Mile High Gliding agreement.
