This award is given to the
Soaring Society of Boulder tow pilot who
has made the largest contribution to the SSB in the area of towing for
the previous year. The perpetual trophy is a bronze plate festooned with tow rings.

SSB Airmanship Award
The SSB Airmanship Award is given to those members who display outstanding airmanship while piloting sailplanes as SSB members. This award is not given on a set schedule, but only when such a demonstration of airmanship and judgment is accomplished. Examples of situations worthy of this award would be the skillful handling of a soaring emergency, dealing with a damaged glider, or an encounter with unusual and unforeseen weather conditions. The award consists of a plaque given to the individual with a descriptive nameplate and other ornamentation uniquely related to the event.
