Tie Stuff Down

E-mail Print PDF

Strong westerly winds have been known to cause damage to the glider trailers and airplanes. Please make a habit of checking that all SSB assets are properly tied down at Boulder airport.

For glider wings the correct knot is a 1/2 hitch x 3 using a sturdy rope. That old aircraft knot you may have learned may look elegant but it does not cut the mustard.
