TFR

The dry conditions in the any month mean that fires can pop up all over the Colorado.

The FAA may issue a Temporary Flight Restrictions, so please check their site for NOTAMs and give these TFRs a wide berth.

The SkyVector website provides a non official source to visualize TFRs on a zoomable sectional map.

Be aware that we may have multi and single engine tankers climbing and descending through our environment. There may also be helicopter assets deployed at KBDU. These may overfly Boulder at any altitude as they flew back to Metro or KBDU to refuel/reload.  They may or may not be on field frequency as they go by. At first glance some of the single engine aircraft could easily be mistaken for a Pawnee returning from a tow, so keep those Mk 1 eyeballs peeled!

Lynn Alley runs an excellent website where you can download TFR data formatted for various flight computers.
