Each year the SSB has an expedition to Nephi Utah. This provides members with the experience of participating in a large organized soaring event.
Of course the dynamite soaring conditions are a bonus.

Ahhh Salida! Located at the North end of the Sangre De Cristo Range near the Arkansas River and in the shadow of Mt. Shavano. This camp has it all. You can fly locally or fly the spectacular Sangre De Cristo's to the South or head up to Aspen in the North. Beyond excellent soaring there are lots of things for non-pilots to do.
